Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Most standard rooms (200-600 sq ft) take 1-3 days including subfloor prep and finishing. Larger spaces or complex patterns (herringbone, borders) may take longer.

Depending on wood type, finish, layout, and site conditions, expect between $6 to $25+ per square foot for material + labor. Engineered wood tends to be at lower end; exotic woods and custom work at high end.

With prefinished hardwood, usually yes within 24 hours. For site-finished floors, we recommend waiting until stain/finish has properly cured (often 24-48+ hours) as per finish manufacturer.

Regular sweeping/vacuuming, use of hardwood-safe cleaners, avoid excess water, use felt pads under furniture, area rugs in high-traffic zones. Re-coat finish as needed.

Solid hardwood is more durable for refinishing many times over, looks elegant; engineered hardwood is more stable in humid environments, easier to install over concrete or radiant heat, often more cost-effective.
